Meet The Team

Ben Bradford will forever hold a special place in the hearts of so many. Known for his kindness, warmth, and love of football, Ben touched the lives of everyone around him. In the wake of his loss, his mum, Donna, and dad, Mike, wanted to create something meaningful — something that would carry forward Ben’s spirit and the values he lived by every day. Through conversations with family and friends, the idea for a charity was born. Naming it felt natural — Ben’s initials, BB, alongside his football shirt number, 14. From there, BB14 began to take shape, and on 11 December 2024, it was officially registered as a charity by OSCR, the Scottish Charity Regulator.
 
Behind BB14 is a small but deeply committed team, united by their love for Ben and their determination to create something positive in his memory. Alongside Mike and Donna are three dedicated Trustees: Diane Allan, Ben’s auntie and Treasurer, who brings valuable experience from the banking industry; Julie Jamieson, a close family friend with a passion for administration; and Donald Smith, Chairman of Cove Youth, a fitting connection to the club that meant so much to Ben. The team is further strengthened by Martin Allan, Ben’s uncle, and Chairperson, who, brings years of project management experience, helping to guide the charity forward, while Mark Reynolds and Keira Peat play an important role as Charity Ambassadors, proudly supporting and representing BB14.
 
Although the team itself is small, BB14 is carried forward by an incredible wave of support. Family, friends, and the wider local and business communities have come together in the most powerful way — offering their time, energy, and generosity. This support has not only helped deliver memorable events so far but continues to drive the charity forward as it works to make a lasting difference for families and young people in the community.
